CONTEXT_

ListAcross is a new startup who’s mission is to create and deliver the absolute best cross-channel distribution and management tools for peer-to-peer marketplaces, to ensure and help user (retailers) increase their revenue, sales velocity, operational efficiency, and margins through a beautiful, seamless, easy-to-use, simple interface.

TASK/CHALLENGE_

By the time I joined the team, they had in the works the total build & design of their entire software as a service. They previously had a team working on the wireframes and I was brought in to refine the existing screens and to design and prototype new features for their website along with a UX designer and a product manager.

SOLUTION AND DESIGN_

User interface design (iteration four), based on the previous user experience research and low fidelity wireframes.

UI DESIGN CASE_

The Users

During the UX research, the ListAcross users were classified as follows:

Enthusiasts_

Independent sellers who have turned a hobby or passion into a business. And sell their products through multiple online marketplaces, rather than their own website.

Pain points_

  1. Need to seek out how-to advice on using new marketplaces and listing items.

  2. High volume stock of products but low volume of sales.

Goals_

  1. Grow their business and increase efficiency by trialling automatic listing software for marketplace platforms.

  2. seek out further advice on how marketplaces differ in terms of pros cons, fees, and requirements.

  3. actively monitor product success on different marketplaces.

Motivations_

  1. They have spotted an opportunity to sell their craft or products and make money.

  2. The business is a side project or second source of income.

The Auto Replies

For this particular case study, I will walk you trough the design process for two main features I had the opportunity to craft myself: The Dashboard or Home Page, and the Auto Replies.

The Auto Replies, also known as “Automations”, is a tool that will help sellers to streamline their work process and save time on manual tasks, with just a few clicks.
In simple words, this feature will allow ListAcross user to send automated replies to their marketplace visitors.
